DO YOU WANT TO BE A FASHION MODEL?

If you want to be a fashion model you must first understand exactly what type of model you would like to become. Runway models are selected to walk in fashion shows for designers. Normally there is a height requirement for most high fashion shows and designers select models according to what will be best for the look of their collection.

Print models mostly focus on doing photoshoots for commercial purposes such as billboards, magazines, websites and other advertisements...even television. Print models are usually selected through a modeling agency for large brands.

Many models choose to do both if they have the height and the look. Understanding the industry is important. Every model needs to have a comp card.

A comp card is a digital or physical card that has multiple photos of the model in different poses. It should also have your contact information and your measurements on it. You should bring your comp card to every casting call. It serves as a business card for yourself so that the casting directors can remember you.

Be sure to go to a professional photographer to get your photos done in a studio. Make sure your information is up-to-date and you have provided an email and phone number that you access regularly. You don't want to miss an opportunity!
